Gah, long day. Productive, but long and adrenalin-filled.

Woken up at 7 am by a falling dream involving black_hound.

Apparently I AM the 12-year old who gets us all in trouble.

Morning: phone calls.

Afternoon: Steve the Happy Electrical Minion. I don't like him quite as well as Shaun the Happy Foundation Minion, but he'll do nicely I think. Also, lunch with iclysdale.

Evening: Pho and PORN (and on my part, port) with farjdrako and Alayne. Withnail and I, Sundry Sam-Bits.
A success, I think, despite my general lack of organization.

Missed damned_colonial something rotten, but this is to be expected.

We shall do it again next week, yay!

Also, Alayne may be able to turn cassettes into mp3s. YAY!

Now, fic-editing with damned_colonial, for as long as we can keep from falling over.

Nature Squares, for Skud.

TAKE: About 2 C Honey.
Heat slowly in large saucepan. In fact, Dutch oven/pasta pot, whatever you call that thing.

When very liquid,

ADD (total about 2-3 C):
Almonds or some other nuts if you like other nuts better. I toast them.
Dried fruit. I like dried berries, blueberries or cranberries.
Sunflower seeds, plain, toasted if you like.
Sesame seeds.
Wheat germ or other additives if wanted.

And stir until well-coated.

Gradually FILL OUT with:
Oat Flakes.
Corn Flakes.
Puffed Rice.

Add about 1/2 cup total each time. Ensure each addition is well-coated before adding more. When mixture is so stiff you can no longer imagine that you will be able to stir it for much longer,

TURN OUT onto a lightly greased cookie sheet, NOT non-stick, because you are going to slice this.
When mixture is almost cool, cut into bars.

Can be doubled but not tripled; gets too unwieldy.
