'Cause they grow up in the most delightful way...

ETA: Effective immediately, Hornblower and BSG fandom have been shut down due to dangerously high levels of drool, making it hazardous to type, operate heavy machinery, or in hard-hit areas, attempt to walk. There is growing concern that this phenomena may spread to outlying regions of fandom and cause breathing delays of up to 30 seconds and high-pitched squeeing noises, gusting to screams of ecstasy as the night progresses. It is recommended that where possible, fangrrls stay indoors ... in their bunks. Possibly with cigars.

You know, I have to really laugh my ass off about this nowthat I think about it. There's probably been over a hundred comments total in various LJs and communities in less than an hour thanks to this one episode.

We should write to Ron Moore and send him flowers for this.

The only male currently in this house is now hiding.

And I'm amused that your icon is FINALLY getting to truly shine...

Yep, that just about sums things up, doesn't it?

As a fan base we really are remarkably easy to please.

Actually, I just have to mention how disorienting it is, in a good sort of way, to hear bona fide squeeage over BSG -- the new miniseries was a source of really acrimonious argument at a BBS I kinda sorta hang out at. I'd had no idea that there were so many people who were that passionate about Battlestar Galactica. ;)

(Mind you, I haven't seen either version. Just remarking...)

I've heard some of that. I was dubious going in but really do like Jamie Bamber, so I was willing to give it a shot. By the end of the pilot my whole household was hopelessly hooked.

Passionate about BSG?

Um...

Not exactly. It's better than I'd hoped or expected, but I'm mostly here for the Crumpet.

Not a fangrrrl (yet, at any rate), but all I have to say is, YUM!

I like him better with the darker hair.

(What was I saying? Oh, right.)

He *did* grow up *tasty*, didn't he? Not that this comes as a surprise! :-)

(*grumble* Delayed schedule in the US. On a cable channel. And me with no cable anyway. Must learn about this whole "pull movies/TV off the Net" business. And get a passel of 36-hour days, while I'm at it...)

The SciFi Channel, Friday (1/14); according to the SciFi Channel's online schedule, there's various stuff labelled as BSG at various times: 8:30 PM to 1:30 AM (main schedule). Or 7:30-12:30 (Central time, East feed). Or 10:30-3:30 (Central time, West feed). I *suspect* that it's actually got a "preshow" and the real show, each one presented twice in the evening from each feed--but I'm not sure.

Anybody have better info? Or more experience extracting useful information from the surfeit of data on that site?
