First lines ...
Poems.
So, you can guess OR google, or both in that order; they are all online but one, and you'll get to read some poems I like that way. Your choice.

There is only one poem by each poet.
If you know the poet but not the poem, or vice-versa, might as well say so.
It's not like we're playing for money here :-)

1) One man on his own can be quite good fun
2) The careful text-books measure
3) When a man hath no freedom to fight for at home
4) Said lady once to lover
5) I do not know if the world has lied
6) I was seventy-seven, come August
7) I am not resigned to the shutting away of loving hearts in the hard ground
8) The age of trumpets is passed, the banners hang
9) He disappeared in the dead of winter
10) For I will consider my Cat Jeoffry.
11) It is common knowledge to every schoolboy and even every Bachelor of Arts
12) The world is full of women
13) well boss i saw mehitabel
14) "O 'Melia, my dear, this does everything crown!
