Maybe it's just that I needed to eat...

(Note re icon: I have a vexed relationship with Strunk and White. On the one hand, I wouldn't give up my illustrated S&W for a Really Big Clock, because
fairestcat gave it to me and I loff it madly; on the other hand, I don't actually do what it says most of the time. (My poor martyred
fairestcat, Best Editor Ever, is probably muttering that I don't do what ANYONE says when it comes to writing and she is not wrong). I sort of keep it around for its value in occasionally helping me sort out, when I know a thing has gone wrong, WHERE exactly said wrongness has come from. But anyway.)
Also, when one is hungry on a cold and snowy day and too lazy to cook for just one person, a chopped green onion and a handful of broccoli added to a can of chicken noodle soup while it heats, the results eaten with Ryvita, Camembert, an apple, and a cup of coffee makes for a fast and tasty restorative that is probably on the whole fairly nourishing.
*is a little ashamed, but well-fed*.
