I have sucessfully closed the freezer!
Yeah, I know, people do that every day.
Right, let's try this again. I have taken delivery of:
100 lbs Tamworth pork
and
28 lbs Katahdin lamb.

THEN I closed the freezer.
Admittedly, the sasusages landed on top. We may be living on sausages for a few days to make some space for sorting... But by god we eat this winter.

BTW, we get our meat from

And I recommend them highly.

Fan of curry? I've got a recipe for mango curry that would probably go well with lamb or pork, even if I've always made it with chicken so far....

I have about 1/6 of an organic cow in my freezer. If you're interested in an occasional trade for some beef, we might talk.

That could be good. How much a pound are you paying?

We paid $3.50/lb hung weight. Apparently that includes bones, and the person doing it estimates about 20% bones, so it works out to about $4.38/lb resultant.

We're at $6.50 for pork and $7.50 for lamb, (hung weight) so you'd end up with less poundage, but we can talk, definitely.

I know the feeling. We just bought 1/2 pig from Lodi Meat & Sausage, and then this week we got 1/4 cow from my inlaws. The freezer, she is fat. :)

Meat is good.

I am so tempted to show up at your door with all my Indian spices in a suitcase. :-)

Thank you, I'm drooling now.
