Brief PSA: icons and fanart

I seem to be doing more of them for other people lately, which is a Good Thing.

But since I'm presently clearing my harddrive, I am inspired to let people know this:

I keep the final product (jpg or png or gif or bmp file) pretty much forever. If you lose all your icons in a freak accident or something, I can replace it, no problem.

But when my fairly small HD starts to whimper, the photoshop files go first.

So if I've made you something and you think you might ever want it edited by me or anyone else, let me know and I'll send you a copy of the .psd file at the time.

Otherwise, I might have to say "um. Long gone, only got the .jpg."

And those don't edit at all well.

I had thought of one to try to make whenever that magical period of free time made itself known to me...

Crossing Jordan's character Bug, with the words "Seriously Underestimated." It might need to be in two parts, or not.

If you truly do have the time to create one like this for me, I'd *really* appreciate it! If it would take too much time, or be too difficult to transfer a picture, then I more than understand. I'll see if I can find a picture and append it in a reply.

Well, I'm not sure why I can copy the picture from the www.nbc.com website for Crossing Jordan, but cannot *paste* it into LJ. I can try emailing it separately (if Hotmail will let me send the whole file). If that works, please send me separately the email address that you are most often using now. Otherwise, there are only 2 pictures of Bug on the website: one is more close up, the other shows more of him, standing. It is the second picture that I would like to use.

Yes, 'twas Cat who made the Nigel one for me. I'm glad it wasn't tedious work. I've done PowerPoint slides with animation, etc., which is much fun, unless it's under tight time pressure, but we don't have it at home...

Or do we? Must to investigate...seem to remember a set of Word CDs for downloading...maybe it's part of that suite. Is that what you use?
