The raspberry cake (the one with the pirates and the treasure) was not only amazing to view but also delicious (tho I must admit I didn't eat the top layer of icing).

Really, those were amazing cakes.

Another vote for the raspberry pirate cake! Including the icing; I'm wondering what made it stretchy.

The sheet cake was tasty too. I didn't try the others.

TWICE I sent [livejournal.com profile] twiin to get me cake and TWICE he came back empty handed. Sigh. My grandmother used to say "Never send a boy on a man's errand!"

If it helps any? I didn't get cake either. Well, I got some of the really tasty spice cake Mel made for when the smaller ones were all gone.

But I was too busy dispensig cake for a bit there to realise how fast it was going.

I would be happy to bake you both a cake, next time I'm in town. Or next time you are in my town.

I'm pretty sure the Mexican Chocolate Cake disappeared in the time I spent turning around. One moment it was essentially intact, the next it was gone.

I had the second last piece: I don't know who had the last one.

I have mentioned it to [livejournal.com profile] theweaselking, but it needs to be said here; the soup was a religious experience.

Also I am quite amused that Mel didn't cross the streams between Lego and Playmobile on the cakes. Very well played.

So do I. My first thought was, "Ooh, Starry Night!" On closer inspection it's not really, but still does a very good job of invoking it.

Ooooooooh, hats!
