First, there was flagitiousabuse, started by the beautiful and talented and seriously HOT firesignwriter. And there was wig abuse. And it was good.

Indeed, it was SO good that the wigs became smug and filled with pride at all the attention they had received.

And the cannon felt neglected, and unloved.

And they were sad.

And because we love the cannon, we did not wish them to be sad.

So we remembered the wonderous hot and smutty cannonsex of the also beautiful talented seriously hot and also rather twisted webcrowmancer. And we were inspired. And then there was cannon_fic

And it was good.

And the fabulous q_skud_ did post drabbles. And they were good. (Go see!)

There was an M and C drabble. And Jack and Stephen were happy.

There was a Hornblower drabble. And the Indys were happy.

But there was no POTC drabble, for q_skud has limits and boundaries and stuff, and so far at least, Pirates is one of them

And the Pirates were sad.

Poor Pirates.

And of course, says I to q_skud_, reading her amazing paired M and C and Hornblower drabbles, if a cannon drabble were to be written in the POTC universe, the temptation would be to make it all hot, twisted, polyamorous theirloveissocannonical...

This piece is very evocative for me. Like a good poem, it makes me want to know more about what's behind it. Pardon me for being dense, but is it Norrington on the bottom here? And who does he kiss in the first part?

If it's Norrington, he seems to find some pleasure in submitting, but also a lot of pain.

Well, the gunner's daughter is a cannon. Kissing it is being caned. Midshipmen were.

Is it Norrington? Good question.

Presumably all three of them will become captains, fine men that they are. So it could be any of them.

Honestly, I don't want to define it too closely; I like the ambiguity.
