So, among my various small annoying health issues I have mild scoliosis. Most of the time this is not a real issue, but if I manage to live my life just wrong the vertebrae in the asymmetrical and therefore slightly unstable part of my back can shift enough to cause pinched nerves and massive muscle spasms.
It started Wednesday on the drive home from North Bay. I've had a massage; now I am just waiting for the inflammation of the muscles and the bruising of the nerve to calm down. "Just". Bruised nerves, I do NOT recommend them.
The fibromyalgia, of course, increases the pain level, especially once we get into the vicious cycle of "pain keeps me awake, sleeplessness increases perceptions of pain, rinse, repeat" part of the fun.
Ow. Ow, ow, m*th*rf*ck*ng OW. And the list of things I can do is quite short at the moment; I shouldn't be typing this and knitting is RIGHT out and so forth.
And in conclusion, Ow.
*says HELL YES to drugs*

Date: 2011-02-27 07:13 pm (UTC)My spine's curve near my hips is more pronounced than I'd like. It hasn't caused me problems like yours, but there are times when I do situps slightly wrong and I feel it for the next few days.
