Qualitative Girliness

I am amused by the "girliness meme."

Frequency of lipgloss? Number of purses? Regularity of makeup wear?

I mock their pathetic quantitative girliness measurements. I scorn their pathetic offer of validation. I spit on their equation of girliness with gross materialism.

I already know I'm girlier than a Professor of Girliness at Girl University, thank you very much.

(And I really ought to think about going and getting my nails done this week. Winter. Feh. Hard on a person's epidermis.)

Oh yeah! I love this entry. Thank you for saying what I've been thinking!!!!! I filled out that meme with my tongue firmly implanted in my cheek. Silliness abounds in the realm of Live Journal.

But, saying that I'm still a handbag whore. ;) But does that make me girlier than the next girl? I think not.

Exactly. True girliness is not measured by such frippery. Some frippery, just not that kind.
